About Jane Whittaker - Bradford Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy and Pure Hypnoanalysis

Jane is a member of the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts

Hello my name is Jane Whittaker; I work as a full time professional Hypnotherapist and pure Hypno analyst, treating clients from all areas of West Yorkshire, covering Bradford, Leeds Halifax, Brighouse, Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Wakefield. As a member of the IAPH, I practice a unique form of Hypnotherapy, called “Pure Hypno-analysis”.

My professional career began in 1989 where I worked as an Auxiliary nurse at a large Psychiatric Hospital in Wakefield. In 1992 I commenced my nurse training and three years later qualified as A Registered General Nurse.

Along with the clinical skills required, my ability to put people at ease and to help people through difficult times with illness and operations seemed to come naturally to me.
I have worked in a variety of medical and surgical settings including working as a scrub nurse in Theatre.

My frustrations began when I realised that within the medical profession, the psychological and mental health needs of the patient came secondary to any medical or surgical treatment given and were often over looked.

On many occasions I found talking to an anxious patient and giving them time to express their worries and fears about treatment they were having would, in many cases quicken the recovery process.

The International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts (IAPH), formerly known as the International Association of Hypnoanalysts (IAH), has been in operation since 1984.
The International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts (IAPH) is the largest groups of hypnoanalysts in the world, and the only group of pure hypnoanalysts.

These frustrations are what motivated me to go back to University and study Mental Health Nursing, where I Graduated as   a Mental Health nurse in 2003 , and went on to work in a variety of settings from Acute admission wards to Forensic Psychiatry.

My interest in Psychology and the workings of the mind fuelled my interest in Hypnotherapy and the positive impact it can have on peoples lives, so much so that in 2007 I went on to gain a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and have since gone on to study a more advanced and specialised Diploma in Pure analytical Hypnotherapy with the IAPH.

Being a member of the organisation requires me to have regular updates and to attend a specified amount of training days annually to maintain professional standards.
